About

Katherine Liu is a Chinese-American artist based in San Francisco whose work explores our longing for both wildness and refuge. Drawing from her memories of Northern California landscapes, food, family, and ordinary objects, she builds colorful worlds across painting, public art, textiles, and installation.

Katherine also created Meridrop, an independent clothing label that translates her illustrations into knitted garments and cheerful objects.
